Accuracy

Is the information on your resume (especially your address, phone number, and current employer) accurate and up to date?

Experience

Does your resume show that you have qualifications and experience (either paid or volunteer) relevant to the job you are applying for?

If you don't have much relevant experience, does the information in your resume show that you have the personality and aptitude to be successful in the position you are seeking?

Does your resume show that you have been employed continuously since leaving school? If not, are the gaps in employment clearly explained on the resume?

Is your resume free of extraneous information (filler)?

Presentation

Is your resume clear and easy to understand at a glance?

Is your resume free of grammatical problems and spelling mistakes?

Does the overall look and feel of your resume help make a good impression of you?

Do you have a list of references to send if it is requested?

Finally . . .

Is your resume a clear summary of accomplishments and not just a job history?

Does your resume show what you can do?

Does your resume show that your abilities meet the company's needs?
