In Japanese, the word "juice" is often used for almost any kind of drink--even canned teas and soft drinks.

In English, juice is used to refer to drinks such as orange juice, grapefruit juice, and tomato juice. If you are talking about another kind of beverage, you might want to use one of the following words:

cola - Drinks such as Coke and Pepsi.

soft drink - A little more general than "cola"--this includes Coke and Pepsi, but also includes drinks such as Fanta and Sprite.

mineral water - Bottled waters such as Evian and Perrier.
