Examples(例文)

This is a daily phrasal verb, but I don't hear it used very often in my classes when students want to describe ending a phone conversation.

The transitive form:

After I hung up the telephone, I went to the refrigerator and pulled out a few slices of cold pizza.

The intransitive form:

I talked to a friend of mine for over two hours. After we hung up, I was really tired.
