Explanation (説明)

This quiz deals with agreement between indefinite pronouns and their verbs. Note that the indefinite pronoun in each of the following sentences may be the subject of the whole sentence or just the subject of a clause.

Most indefinite pronouns are either clearly singular or clearly plural, but there are a few that are used with both singular and plural verbs. After trying the quiz, click on the link at the bottom of this page to find out which indefinite pronouns are singular, which ones are plural, and which ones can be both.
